Building Resilience Programme for People with Cancer

In March 2017 we will be running a 4-week course: Building Resilience Programme for People with Cancer facilitaed by Josephine O'Gorman at Paul’s Cancer Support Centre.  This will integrate a range of effective approaches including the Somatic Experiencing® method, providing participants with resources to build their resilience, well-being and confidence to cope with their stress, challenges and fears. 

Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a pioneering body-mind method developed by Dr Peter Levine for resolving trauma symptoms and increasing resilience. It provides a new way in understanding the nervous system. It recognises that the effects of trauma are primarily experienced in our nervous systems (how we react) and how any unresolved trauma can create dysregulation within the nervous system.

'Caring for yourself after Cancer' event

Join us at St George’s Hospital, Tooting on Thursday 2nd March for this free event for patients who have completed their treatment for at least 6 months.

Topics covered include eating advice and nutrition support, keeping active and wellbeing support. Lunch is also provided.

Booking is essential and priority wil lbe given to people who have not previously attended our wellbeing or workshop events.

Life coaching

Life coaching gives you an opportunity to seek help with any area of your life where you are feeling stuck or uncertain and wish to move on. It helps you move on from where you are to where you want to be through clearing obstacles and outdated beliefs, and encouraging action.

Common issues worked on include achievement of a specific goal, improving relationships, dealing with life changes, health and fitness and overcoming stress and phobias.

This is a 6 week series of weekly hour-long sessions.
