Life Coaching

Life coaching gives you an opportunity to seek help with any area of your life where you are feeling stuck or uncertain and wish to move on. It helps you move on from where you are to where you want to be through clearing obstacles and outdated beliefs, and encouraging action.

Common issues worked on include achievement of a specific goal, improving relationships, dealing with life changes, health and fitness and overcoming stress and phobias.

This is a 6 week series of weekly hour-long sessions.


Macmillan HOPE course

H.O.P.E stands for Help Overcoming Problems Effectively.  It is a programme developed by Macmillan that helps people who have had cancer to get on with their lives.  The course is free to attend and runs for 6 weeks for 2 ½ hours each session at our centre in Battersea. The course concentrates on focusing and rediscovering your inner strengths and resilience to help you cope emotionally, psychologically and practically.  There are between 6 to 12 people on each course and time is spent in facilitated discussions, group activities, information sharing and ideas for you to try between each session.

It aims to help you to achieve some of the following positive outcomes:

       -Feel more confident in dealing with emotional issues such as anxiety, anger, depression and uncertainty

-Increase your ability to handle stressful situations

-Discover how to use relaxation techniques to refresh your mind and body

-Use the skills from the course to improve and self-manage your life after cancer treatment

The next course will start on Thursday 16 November from 3.00pm—6.00pm at Paul’s Cancer Support Centre, and will continue on Tuesday afternoons: November 21 and 28, December 5, 12 and 19

Macmillan Time and Space course for carers

Coming soon. If you are supporting someone who has cancer and you would like more support and information about how to look after yourself, this course may be for you.  


Mindfulness course (8 weeks) 

In January 2018 we will be delivering our 8 week course in mindfulness for people afected by cancer.
